Pharmacy Signage: Indoor LED Screens for Pharmacy 4 Less Kotara

Added 28th October 2026

Pharmacy 4 Less at Kotara Homemakers Centre wanted pharmacy signage that could change as often as its specials do. SWS Signage replaced the store's standard light boxes with eight indoor LED screens, each with its own access point, so staff can update specials, new product lines, and community messages whenever they like. The Client Need

The pharmacy was refreshing its store and branding, and the existing light box signage was the weak point. A light box shows one printed message until someone replaces the panel, and the brands, products, and offers on the shelves change all the time.

The brief came with two conditions: the new signage had to match the colour scheme of the previous signage, and it had to go in during business hours without closing the store.

The Solution

We recommended indoor LED screens in place of new light boxes. At 2.6 mm pixel pitch the screens show full colour logos, product branding and text clearly, even on the small-format screens at the aisle entry, and the price is only marginally more than static light boxes.

We supplied eight screens in widths to suit each location: above the pharmacist's counter, at Scripts In and Scripts Out, along the side walls above specific product ranges, and pole mounted at the aisle entry. Our installers recessed the wall screens into the existing joinery and finished the job while the store traded.

We also supplied the initial content. Because the install landed in NRL grand final week, Pharmacy 4 Less ran Newcastle Knights messages between its branding and product signage, a local business backing the local team.

The Materials

Each screen is a high-definition indoor LED display in an aluminium cabinet, with receiver cards inside the modules and the operating software supplied. Every screen has its own access point, so a staff member can change one screen's content without touching the others.

We import our LED products directly and stock spare parts, and this job included three spare LED modules so replacements are on hand.

The Outcome

For the client, the project delivered improved visibility, a stronger brand presence, better wayfinding, and a better customer experience. The pharmacist, scripts, and aisle screens tell customers where to go, the side-wall screens show what is on offer, and the content changes whenever the pharmacy wants it to, all from an install that never saw the venue close the doors.
